High Court Enforcement

Once you have been awarded a County Court Judgment (CCJ) you may realise that this is only the first step to getting your money back. If you have a County Court Judgment (CCJ) that is less than 6 years old and above £600, West Country Bailiffs can assist in recovering the money you are owed by transferring your case to the High Court to obtain a writ of control.

How we can help

West Country Bailiffs are an enforcement provider for Just Debt and we will use the services of Mr Christopher Badger (Authorised High Court Enforcement Officer). This allows us to instruct our qualified, certificated Enforcement Agents, who are under the supervision of Mr Badger to execute the writ of control.

To start with we will issue a Notice of Enforcement to the debtor. This gives them 14 days to contact West Country bailiffs to make payment. If the balance is not paid, or an appropriate agreement has not been reached within this time, then the case will be passed to one of our Enforcement Agents for collection.

Our Enforcement Agents will always aim to collect the outstanding balance in full from the debtor, including any interest and all fees. If this is not possible and you agree (there is no obligation to do so), then the debtor may be given the option to enter into a payment arrangement. In this case a Controlled Goods Agreement will be put into place.

If the debtor fails to settle the amount due, and has goods that could be sold, our Enforcement Agents will seize and then sell the debtors goods at auction. All costs involved will be added to the debt.

Fees & Costs

To transfer your case up to the high court costs £495.00, which includes the court fees associated with the transfer of the judgment to the High Court.
